Marsden Bay that Camp

On Tuesday most of the yr 8 students went to camp. On that day some of the yr 8s stayed at school with the yr7 students.  The camp was called Marsden Bay.

In the morning when the bus arrived at our school, we all went in to the hall to collect our belongings.Then we left for camp in the bus. It was a long ride, some students slept and some students stayed awake during our journey to camp.

It was the longest ride that I have ever been on in a bus. When we arrived at camp, we were taken on a tour by Mike and he showed us everything and the camp grounds. After that we got our belongings and went to our cabins.We then had morning tea down at the beach,which I thought was awesome.We then went on a hike in the bush, it was long and tiring.Everyone had sore feet but I didnt. I was glad that we did our hike.

When we had finished our hike, we had to walk back to the beach where we had started our hike. We had a rest before we hopped in to the bus. We saw alot of beautiful houses in Mareson Bay. At camp we had a big muddy waterslide, I thought it looked all brown and yucky until I had a turn on it and I wanted to keep sliding down it.We had so much fun on the waterslide.

There was a flying fox at camp.It was really high long and big.All us students had a go on the flying fox,along with our teachers and the camp staff.Me and my friends laughed at the adults who had a turn on the flying fox.We watched everyone take their turn on this, and w2e encouraged the students who were afraid to go on this.I loved going on this because I always had butterflies.

Another part of camp that I really enjoyed was swimming at the beach. We swam straight after our hike. The day was so hot and we were excited to get into the water. At first the water was freezing and we didnt want to swim, but we all forgot how cold it was, and started swimming because we were having alot of fun. We had so much fun at the beach we didnt want to leave. The beach was very beautiful. hedlookin

We also were put into groups for surfing. Mrs Clark took my group for surfing. We were met by the lifeguards and they introduced themselves to us. The lifeguards spoke to us about water safety. They also showed us how to surf. Mrs Clark was in the water with our group and she was learning how to surf with us. This was the first time for me to learn how to surf.I think everyone should learn how to surf as it is fun. I found learning how to surf was easy, but trying to stand on my surfboard was hard. I think if we practise surfing everyday we will be good at this.

Another part of camp I enjoyed was sleeping in a cabin with my friends. In my cabin was there were six girls and we had 3 bunkbeds. Two of us girls shared a bunkbed. I was lucky I got the top bunk.  Our cabins were cool because we had all the girls in cabins on one side of the camp, and the boys had cabins on the other side of the camp. In our cabin we all hung out talked laughed and ate junkfood. It was really fun.

At camp we played so many games and we had alot of activities. These are some of the games we played; Volleyball,basketball,handball,we also played on a see-saw. We also played cards, connect4, jingo and we got to play on the piano. We were allowed to do this during free time.

The menu at camp was yummy, everyday we had different food. Every morning we had cereal which was cornflakes, ricebubbles, weetbix, porridge,and fruitsalad. For lunch we had: hotdogs, wedges, salads. Dinner we had meat, veges, mash potatoes and salad. But the best part was Dessert: Icecream, Apple crumble and Pudding,this was the best part of my day.

On the last day of camp we had so much fun. We went to Waiwera Hotpools. As we got there we ran to all the waterslides and tried them all. Some slides were fast and some dark and some were skinny and dark. The pools were all hot or warm.I enjoyed the movie pool but the water was hot like a spa pool.

Me and my friends had a great time at camp we learnt alot of different things and did alot of stuff. Camp was awesome I had a blast.

team 4  today It little bit different  because class 1 and class 5 are a big class But I think that we are going to have lots of fun with the class 5 and the teacher yesterday all of the boy with out to play sport well all the girls stared in class  and do art.

When Mrs Paget told about us about this art that she got for this man the draw this art but Mrs paget sent a mail before she use his art.

Venus Bay

This story  that I am reading is called Venus Bay. Written by Julie Mitchell Mal Chambers it is really good story  for kids. In the story there was a boy call Jake and his sister name Holly Jake used to be so easy to get along with. But lately, Holly had seen a side of him she didn’t like.

Holly seen a side of him she don’t like him.Holly knew something was wrong to jake was floating on the seawater the sea water was too deep for him so Holly take a big breath before she go in the water to reached her brother.

When holly gab Jake she swim up to her dad the dad pull Jake on the boat then dad and holly puddly back were they staff were. Then dad called the hospital for Jake dad and holly was very wrong.

Home game

Last Saturday My famliy went to a home game. With my aunty her son name Bruno the game  was started that 9.00cock. so we had to get there before 9.00cock cause that when the game started so we got over there at 8.30.pm. then we saw some of my friends was over there before us.

When my aunty finish found a car park. That the home game we pop out the car we the go from the back of our car. cause was door is broken. cause my auntie her son broken the door. When we all pop out the car we had to wait for our rest our team.

Swimming safe

Last last week class 1 went swimming with Mr Barks. They started swimming at after lunch finish some of class 1 get to stay in class with a teacher or Mrs Nua we had to read a book instill like Mrs Nua get here with us or if not we had to go in a classroom.

Then most of class 1 we went swimming to the G.I pools they had to get their togs to get into they togs they get changs when we are over there. The first step what we had to do is have a shower before we get into the pools.

When we get into the pools the first thing had we need to have a teacher to teach us to swum so we can be a best swum like our teacher.Mr Braks keep us safe in the pools when we started swimming.

Cyclone hit New zealand

On saturday morning the cyclone hit new zealand 3 people die from the cyclone from the news the cyclone it have strong winds and heavy rain. when the water was black on the sea the cyclone was spach that new zacland. everyone is talking about cyclone it can it hit new Zealand I was living with my aunty well my cousin was feeling scared. and my aunty tell us 3 people die when the cyclone hit them.

On Thursday last  night prize giving started at  7.00o'clock so I got that 6.10 p.m I had to go into our uniform Me and my aunty and her son and his friends I saw my cousins mum and my other family came to watched me and my cousins Stevenson.

Then Mr Burt was talking about how the kids win stuff and coming to school without missing any day of school. it was the yr 5 well the teacher came up to the front to give to kid go up some of the kid was shock well Mr Brut call them name they were so happy so the teacher give they lollies necklace.

when I was in room 17 I meet a friend her name is taamai She is so funny and cool she like to do lots of fun stuff like sport and maori. Her favorite color is Purple. Everyday I hangout and I play with her and she got 3 brother and 3 sister also their names are Billy Weilen Motru Ta.

Then I meet another friend her name is Doris and Sisilia. Well Taamai meet a friend her  name is Shanika we all play skipping with Doris. Skipping rope we play lots of games if the  person  out of the game then they have to hold the other side of the skipping rope.  Well the person get to hop in the game.

We play when play time is over we all get in to class and wait and  wait and wait and waited then our teacher finally came. Then she said I am so so sorry that I took for ever when we get in the classroom I get my netbook out and I go on maths whizz and xtramaths. Then we have to see the teacher to do maths she teach us lots of maths.

ATHEIC DAY

On the last day on Friday all PT England. Did athletic day it was a sunny day on friday it was hot it started that 9.00.Am. so I walk to school that 8.00.Am when I got there I saw some of my friends in their house colours when the 2 biring ringl out we all went back in our calssroom to get ready of atheic.

When we all finish getting ready for athletic  we all went outside the with all the pt england student when we got there I saw lost for people in their house colours in they yr well the house captain had to cheer what were if we are in our house colours.

After that when the house captain had finish had finish we started in the sofl throwing with the yr 7 girls with Mrs lani tupu have us.

In the holiday

On the first week of my holiday. I stayed with my sister and her boyfriend house also they name. Are Eden Douglas I stayed about. When it time to go to my mum and dad work we started to go at 6:30 pm the first thing that. We had to do is get the train ticket we wait and wait and wait then I saw the train coming I screamed into my sister ear's. than she said" ouch" then said okay then we hop on the train I saw some of the people inside the. Train that was sitting on the train. On the second week of the holiday I stayed home with my mum dad brother, Sister her boyfriend well my aunty. Them went to waste side with her family. Me and my sister play a game the game call guess the food. So we had to picked a pictures and we. Had to hess it I got the fist on right well my. Sister try to get one right so I had to help her to. Guess the food. After that when we finish. Playing guess the food we went inside. The kitchen to have dinner when we had finish. We started to watched T.V .

ABOUT NETBALL...

We get a netball and a spoon then. We go outside on the field then I put the spoon on the. Grass and we look for a flat ball from miss V room we had to asked politely from for a flat ball and a netball.

Americas cup

Today we still wait once again for the  Americas cup to start racing. The score at the moment is 8-6 I hope the NZ is going to win. GO TEAM NZ!

Cousin Kate..

Cousin Kate was very bossy. She was always bossing the kids and they had to do
everything she said.

One day she went outside with the kids and told them that they had to dig out worms and put them in the jar. After they had finished digging the worms out of the dirt they had to put them back again.
Another day Cousin Kate saw a beehive on the tree. She told the kids to get it down. They
said it was a silly thing to do and they ran away. So Cousin Kate picked up a stick and whacked the beehive instead. One little bee came outside and got angry at her. Then she started to run away as fast as she could. Unfortunately she fell  over a long piece of wood. When a bee stung her the kids were hiding in the bush and they laughed at Cousin Kate.

The  kids learned that you don't have to do everything that another person says. I liked this
book because it was very funny and I don't  like bossy people.

On Thursday it was a sunny day. It was so hot for our cross country fun run everyone was so excited. For the cross country.

About my holiday

Holiday

In the first week of our holiday I stayed home and do the housework. With my  mum and  dad and my brother. I was cleaning my room. I picked the rubbish that my cousin made when he was visiting in the weekend.

In the second week I woke up early in the morning. I was so excited because I was going to go to have a holiday in Australia. So we went to the airport to wait for our plane.When we got inside the plane we put our stuff in the over  head locker.

When we popped out of the plane we got our stuff and went to my aunty’s place.When we finished looking around her place, we went to our room to  put our stuff away.

Then we went out shopping to buy some togs to go for a swim in the pool with my aunty and cousin. She bought silver and pink togs for me. After that we went to get something to eat. We got hot chips from the food hall.

On the next day we went to PaknSave to buy a gift for my mum and dad. We bought chocolate. Then we went back to my auntys place.

Finally we got our stuff ready to go back to New Zealand. I felt excited to see my mum and dad and brother again. I enjoyed my hoilday in Austraila.
